Wasenbacher



Blackletter have a long history and were particularly used in the German-speaking world until the 20th century. However, for people today, these typefaces are difficult to read. With Wasenbacher, Georg Salden attempted to design a typeface in the style of gothic script that is also readable for our modern eye.


Single Font from

Wasenbacher desktop fonts are available in different versions:
Desktop Basic covers the Western and Central European character set and contains one set of numerals (tabular).
Desktop Expert covers the Western and Central European character set and contains various numerals and other OpenType-Features for advanced typographic performance. Desktop Basic contains only the black characters, Desktop Expert contains the grey characters too.
All other font formats (e.g. web fonts or app fonts) contain the full character set.
