Q: How can I pay?

A: The easiest and fastest way to pay is using PayPal or your credit card (Visa or Mastercard). Once the payment is completed the fonts are sent automatically to your email address. If you don’t have a PayPal account or a credit card, you can also pay by direct bank transfer (bank wire). Just click on the Bank Transfer button. Please remember that your fonts will be sent once the transfer is complete, which can take a number of days.

Q: Who should buy fonts, the client or designer?

A: Fonts are software, which means that everyone who uses them needs to have a licence. If a designer is making a poster for a client, it is the designer (end user), not the client, who needs to buy a font licence. If clients wish to use the fonts as well, then they too need to buy their own licences.

Q: What about VAT?

A: As a company registered in Germany, TypeManufactur is obligated to charge Value Added Tax (VAT) on our sales and services within the European Union (EU). If your billing address is outside of the EU, we donʼt charge the VAT. If your company resides in the EU, but has a registered VAT number, you can fill in your VAT number in the order information and we will not charge VAT. Please note that you have to do this before placing the order, as we canʼt return the VAT later.

Q: Can I buy fonts for resale?

A: Fonts purchased online are licenced to the buyer, who has read and agreed to the End User Licence Agreement. You canʼt buy a font on someone elseʼs behalf; the end user must buy it directly. When orders are processed, personalised licence agreements specifying the licencing conditions are issued. If your clients, colleagues or friends need a font, ask them to buy their licences directly through our website.

Q: Can I refund or exchange fonts?

A: Because of their digital nature, fonts can not be returned, refunded, or exchanged. For more information, please review the End User Licence Agreement you agreed to during the checkout. If a font is defective and you notify us within 30 days, we will provide a replacement. If you purchase the wrong version of a font and tell us within 7 days, we will switch your order to the correct version at no charge.

Q: Do you offer student discounts?

A: Yes, we do offer 50% off on the entire library. Please get in touch with us.

Q: Do I receive an invoice?

A: Yes. We issue PDF invoices for all orders. Once the payment is completed the fonts and the invoice are sent automatically to your email address.
