Tap was designed in 1979 in the style of the old typewriters. The contours consist of apparently haphazard swellings and notches, bumps and dents, which simulate the attractive peculiarities of typewriter typefaces. The bumps and dents have not been positioned indiscriminately, but rather where they can make a positive contribution to the overall shape or to the line formation.
Tap Fonts are available in different versions:
OpenType Basic covers the
Western and Central European character set and contains one set of numerals (tabular figures).
OpenType Expert covers the
Western and Central European character set, contains various numerals and other
OpenType features.OpenType Basic contains only the black characters, OpenType Expert contains the grey characters too.
