Type Test
Brasil combines the qualities of a grotesque and a roman. By contrast to Optima, which is a roman without serifs, this is a sans-serif with rising stroke ends. It has very expressive curves and the verticals meet the base line with a pronounced emphasis. Together these create a more closed and at the same time more vibrant line formation, than purely grotesque typefaces can achieve. Originality and progressiveness are the main features of this typeface. It has a large clear image without a hint of playfulness; it is elegant but not bloodless, sharp but not cold.
